The sealingconsists of the cylindrical surface of the piston and thecorresponding inner surface area of the sealing rings. Thisprovides a very large sealing compared with globe valves withconventional design- one of the reasons for the Piston valvesexcellent seal.The valve Rings are the heart of the piston valve. They aremade from KXGT, a material specially developed andexclusively used for the manufacture of valve ring. KXGTconsists essentially of asbestos, a high quality elastomer andgraphite. KLINGER valve rings are not merely surface graphited;the graphite content extends throughout the ring. For this reasonits outstanding self lubricating properties are retained throughoutthe rings entire service life. KLINGER valve rings are resilient,accurately dimensioned and in consequence of their goodrecovery characteristics have excellent form retention and longservice life. KLINGER valve rings are resistant to water, steam,oils, solvents and wide range of other media. The Klinger Piston valve works on the principle of Resilient rings in conjunction with a Metallic Stainless Steel Piston, that moves vertically between the rings, giving a Seal that is both effective as well as Durable. This sealing system gives a bubble tight shut off, equivalent if not superior to Class VI leak standards.The Sealing rings are the heart of the valves, are available in Non Asbestos, Tanged Graphite, and Graphite Asbestos varieties, to effectively handle more than 250 Industrial Media.
